International Battery (IB) is a green technology company providing system solutions for large scale energy storage. IB’s systems can be used in a wide range of Smart Grid, renewable integration, military, vehicular and industrial applications. In its Allentown plant, IB produces systems using its environmentally-friendly, large format, rechargeable lithium-ion cells and batteries – all designed, developed and manufactured in the USA. Operational since 2008, IB’s Allentown manufacturing facility was the first water-based, large format cell manufacturing plant in the United States. This facility houses cell chemistry engineering and lab capabilities, cell manufacturing and battery and system assembly.
